Module Tabs
The Podcast SEO settings page has three tabs:
- Podcast Settings — feed configuration, platform tags, Podcast 2.0 features, and directory submission links
- AI Episode Generator (Pro+) — generate episode content with AI assistance
- Feed Validation — manual feed validation with error/warning/recommendation reporting
Podcast Settings Tab
Feed Configuration
Configure your podcast RSS feed details including title, description, author, language, category, and artwork. The feed is generated at your site's podcast feed URL.
Platform Tags
- • Include iTunes Tags — adds Apple Podcasts compatible tags to your feed
- • Spotify — uses the standard RSS feed; no separate Spotify-only toggle is needed
- • Include YouTube Tags — adds YouTube podcast compatibility tags
Podcast 2.0 Features
Optional enhanced podcast features including transcripts, chapters, video podcasts, funding/value4value tags, and other Podcast 2.0 namespace extensions.
Directory Submission
Links to submit your podcast feed to major directories including Apple Podcasts, Spotify for Podcasters, YouTube Music, Amazon Music & Audible, iHeartRadio, and Pandora.
Schema Output
ProRank generates structured data for podcast content in the page's JSON-LD output:
- • PodcastEpisode schema for individual episodes
- • PodcastSeries schema for the podcast itself
- • Optional VideoObject support for video podcasts
- • Optional speakable content markup
Feed Validation Tab
The Feed Validation tab provides a manual validation workflow:
- Click Validate Feed Now to run validation
- Review results: errors, warnings, and recommendations
- Check configuration status cards for feed health
- Fix any issues and re-validate
Best Practices
- • Fill in all feed metadata for best directory compatibility
- • Enable iTunes tags for Apple Podcasts visibility
- • Run feed validation after any configuration changes
- • Submit your feed URL to major directories after setup
- • Use episode descriptions and titles that include target keywords
