Product SEO Automation

Current Shipped Features

The eCommerce SEO page provides automation tools for product SEO:

  • Shorten New Product URLs — remove configured connector words only while WordPress creates a new product URL; existing URLs are never rewritten automatically
  • Auto-Noindex Hidden Products — prevent hidden products from being indexed
  • Product Title Pattern — define title templates for product pages
  • Product Meta Description Pattern — define meta description templates
  • Variable Product Schema — output ProductGroup markup with each public variation's price, availability, attributes, URL, image, SKU, and supported GTIN

Backend description generation support exists but is not currently exposed as a visible workflow in the mounted admin page.

Variable Product Schema

Premium represents a WooCommerce variable product as a Schema.org ProductGroup. Each available variation is emitted as a concrete product with its own Offer rather than collapsing every choice into one approximate price range.

  • • Variation prices and sale end dates come from WooCommerce.
  • • In-stock, out-of-stock, and backorder states remain distinct.
  • • Colour, size, SKU, image, URL, and valid GTIN values are preserved when available.
  • • Products without public variations keep the ordinary Product schema.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • • Duplicate content across similar products
  • • Missing or generic product descriptions
  • • Keyword stuffing in titles or descriptions
  • • Poor quality or missing product images
  • • Ignoring customer reviews and ratings
  • • Not updating out-of-stock product pages
