Content Analysis is available in the editor sidebar across all editions. Premium adds AI insight features like entity detection and intent classification.
How It Works
Content Analysis runs directly in the WordPress editor sidebar, providing real-time feedback as you write. It analyses your content for:
- SEO optimisation and keyword density
- Readability scores using Flesch-Kincaid scoring
- Content structure and formatting
- Focus keyword optimisation

How to Use Content Analysis
1. Enable the Module
Navigate to the WordPress post/page editor sidebar and ensure the Content Analysis module is enabled (toggle ON).
2. Configure Settings
Click on the Content Analysis & SEO sidebar panel to access settings. Configure your preferred readability algorithm and thresholds.
3. Open the Editor
Edit any post or page in WordPress. The ProRank SEO sidebar will appear on the right.
4. View Analysis
Expand the "Content Analysis & SEO" panel to see real-time scoring and suggestions as you write.

Readability Grade Levels
Grade 4-6: Very easy to read (children's content)
Grade 7-9: Easy to read (recommended for web)
Grade 10-12: Standard difficulty

Target Grade 8 Reading Level
Most web content should be readable at an 8th-grade level for maximum accessibility
Keep Sentences Under 20 Words
Shorter sentences are easier to read and understand
Limit Paragraphs to 150 Words
Break up long paragraphs to improve scannability

Aim for 1-2% keyword density without forcing keywords
Troubleshooting
Panel Not Showing in Editor
- • Ensure Content Analysis is active in the ProRank SEO editor sidebar
- • Check that you have a Pro+ license
- • Try refreshing the editor page
- • Clear browser cache if issues persist
Scores Not Updating
- • Check if Auto-Analyse is enabled in settings
- • Manually trigger analysis with the "Analyze Content" button
- • Ensure you have content in the editor
Settings Not Saving
- • Check for JavaScript errors in browser console
- • Ensure you have proper permissions
- • Try logging out and back in
