Target-Aware Anchor Portfolio
A site-wide anchor total can look healthy while one destination is over-optimised. The Anchor portfolio groups links by destination and reports exact, partial, branded, generic, URL, and image anchors for each target.
Targets
Search destinations, filter by health, inspect anchor mix, diversity, source count, recommendations, and the links behind each result.
Conflicts
Find the same descriptive anchor pointing to multiple destinations, which can blur the intended topic signal.
Duplicate links
Find repeated source-to-target pairs so templates or repeated blocks do not hide duplicate linking.
Refresh analysis
Rebuild the cached report after a large content or linking change instead of waiting for normal invalidation.
Campaign Strategies
Campaigns create a read-only preview first. A strategy changes the proposed topology; it never bypasses anchor, permission, builder, freshness, or duplicate-link checks.

Preview, Apply, and Roll Back
- 1Choose the scope
Select a strategy, optional hub, Search Console priority pages when available, and a maximum of 1–25 changes.
- 2Create a preview
ProRank returns source, anchor, target, builder owner, status, and skip reason for every bounded proposal. The single-use preview expires after 10 minutes.
- 3Select proposals
Only Ready proposals can be selected. Review every row; skipped proposals never count toward the change limit.
- 4Confirm apply
ProRank rechecks content fingerprints, snapshots every source, writes the selected links, and verifies public output. A failed write or verification rolls back the operation.
- 5Use history when needed
Applied runs remain visible. A run can be rolled back for seven days only if none of its affected sources changed after apply.
Proposal Statuses
Ready
The source is current, the anchor is safe, and the detected content owner supports a guarded write.
Already linked
The source already links to that destination, so ProRank does not create a duplicate.
Read-only builder
ProRank can analyse the content but will not mutate that builder store.
No safe anchor
No exact, unlinked text node passed the campaign safety checks.
Incremental Indexing
Changed pages only
Post saves, supported builder saves, relevant metadata changes, deletes, and ProRank mutations mark the affected page dirty.
Bounded batches
The queue processes five pages at a time and uses fingerprints to avoid repeating work for unchanged content.
Visible recovery
After three failed attempts, the Campaigns screen shows pages requiring attention and offers an administrator retry action.
Permissions and Builder Safety
- Users need permission to edit posts to view anchor analysis; campaign preview, apply, retry, and rollback require an administrator.
- Native content and a detected writable builder store are changed only when the exact unlinked text can be replaced safely.
- Analysis support never implies write support. ProRank labels read-only builder content and skips it during apply.
- Campaigns do not inject a fallback block merely to force a link into content that does not contain a safe anchor.
- Every apply revalidates the preview against current content and refuses stale proposals.
